High gloss lacquer finish are labor intensive to produce and is thus reflected in the higher price.  Our standard

polyurethane satin finish wood veneer will suite most offices very well and do have significantly lower prices.

Also, note the desk top leather writing pad comes with a rectangular shape pad instead of the oval shape shown in some photos.

The rectangular leather writing pad is integrated into the desktop and cannot be removed.  It is also accompanied with a cable routing 

channel.
